When it comes to player development our Ice Operations Director Chris Werstine (Michigan) has been doing it for 15 years here at Aviator Sports. Previously Chris has worked for Detroit Honeybaked (AAA-Youth) as well as Capital Centre and the Metro Jets (Junior) and has Coached Patrick Kane (Chicago) as well as over 50 Division 1 College Players and dozens of Professional Hockey Players!

USPHL Player of the Week
Congratulations to NY Aviators Forward Zach Ruley for being named USPHL Premier Player of the Week! This past weekend at the Islanders Hockey Club Showcase, Zach had 10 points in 4 games to help the Premier team go 4-0 and Zach moved into a tie for the league lead in points with 43 in 22 games! Aviator Original Commits to Division 1 Program!
Congratulations to an Aviator Original! John Lundy who was a part of the original Aviator ATOMS class, played Mite-PW travel and last year competed for our 16U National team has committed to UMass Amherst to play his college hockey! "In Inaugural USPHL Season, 10U & 14U Win 2016-2017 Elite Title!"
Congratulations to the 10U Team! Over the various Showcase Weekends within the USPHL Season, the team went 11-3 during the Regular Season achieving a First Place finish and carried their success into the Playoffs by going 2-0 to secure the Championship! The 14U team went 14-2 during the Regular Season to finish in First Place in their respective Division and went 2-0 in the Playoffs to claim the banner! "Bantam 14U Elite Capture Spring Tournament Victory"
Aviator Hockey Club went a perfect 3 and 0 over this past weekend beating Brewster Applecore twice and defeating the Westchester Express. Aviator is led by many returning faces this season along with an influx of players from outside organizations. The expectation level is "looming large" with a potential trip to States and the team will attend Prep School Showcases this coming season to give the players the maximum exposure here through the Aviator Hockey Program. Aviator Hockey 2001's (12U) Capture State Championship!
This past weekend our very own Peewee team beat Niagara Falls 6 to 5 to win the New York State Amateur Hockey Association's State Title.
What an impressive weekend and season it has been for this group. With wins against the Buffalo Bison 4-2, New Hartford 12-1, Canton 5-3 and Brewster 3-2, this set the stage for the Finals against Niagara. Niagara took a 3-0 lead early on, but once Aviator settled down, Niagara was no match for Aviator surrendering 6 unanswered goals leading to the State title win! Congratulations to all of our Families, Players and Coach Siminov for a wonderful season.
Aviator Hockey Club Continues to Shine!
Aviator Hockey Club Scores impressive Playoff Championships this weekend.
The Peewee 2001's Won the 'AA' League title Sunday knocking off the Brewster Bulldogs 4-1. Saturday the 01's beat the Nassau County Lions 3-2.
Additionally our Peewee 2002's Won the 'A' League title Sunday defeating the Dix Hills Rebels 9-0. Saturday the 02's beat Long Beach AppleCore 3-1.
Our Bantam AA's lost in the Finals to the Nassau County Lions and finished Runner-Up this weekend. Bantam A's and Squirt AA's all participated as well and lost in the Semi's.
Our Peewee 'RED' Squad made it to the Finals of their respective Hudson Valley League Playoffs but were ousted in the Finals...
Congratulations to all teams that made the playoffs and participated. Keep up the good work and continue to 'Find a Way!'
Aviator Peewee Tier II -AA Headed to States!
Aviator Hockey Club 2001's have advanced to the State Championship's in Buffalo New York March 8th and 9th. This past weekend the team won an impressive 3 games at the NYSAHA East Section Tier II Youth Tournament beating their rival Brewster Bulldogs 3-2, defeating PAL (Hauppauge) 5-1 and dusting off the Westchester Vipers 5-1. The team is built on impressive defence and goaltending, with a great work ethic from our forward core. First year Coach Sergey Siminov has done an outstanding job with the team as many of the players and parents have checked their ego's at the door and worked together as a TEAM. Many thanks to Manager's Kim Sutera and Ruth Hoffmann for their hard work.

Aviator Mites had the privilege of playing on the ice at Yankee Stadium this past weekend! The same ice where the NY Rangers, NY Islanders and NJ Devils played just last week! The kids had a great time participating in the Mite Jamboree!

Our Peewee A-Red, Bantam A and Peewee AA teams have advanced to the Silver Stick International Finals by Winning or finishing Runner Up in their respective divisions.

Aviator Hockey Club Peewee AA Captures Silver Sticks Tournament “AA” Championship!
Our Peewee team over the weekend went 4-0-1 Winning the Bridgeport CT Silver Sticks Regional. In the final game the Peewees defeated the New Jersey Colonials 3-2. Christian Sarlo highlighted the victory with a hatrick to get the job done. The team is made up of all 2001 Birth Year Players and are currently 18-1-2 sitting on top of the Tri-State and Long Island League Standings! Congratulations to this group.
In other news our Squirt team went 3-1-1 at Silver Sticks losing in the Championship game against the Central Connecticut Capitals. They survived a thrilling Semi-Final game that went 2 overtimes and a shootout to advance but ran out of gas in the final. The 2003 Birth Year team finished as “Runner Up”.
